Eikmeier Plays Role in Fremont Community in Variety of Ways

Randall Eikmeier has made his mark in the Fremont community as a leader in both the business and education fields during his career.

Midland University is proud to honor Eikmeier with the 2026 Alumni Achievement Award. Eikmeier will be recognized during the Alumni & Legacy Banquet Sunday, Sept. 27th at the Wikert Event Center.

“I feel honored and humbled to be recognized for this award,” Eikmeier said. “I have always strived to be the best version of myself, but I understand that most success comes from a collective effort of many people with a common vision. I have been blessed to work with an amazing group of Associates throughout my career.”

A former Midland University basketball player, Eikmeier earned his undergraduate degree in education and was a longtime teacher and coach at both Cedar Bluffs and Archbishop Bergan high schools, as well as being an administrator at Bergan. He coached Bergan to the Class C-1 state championship in 1987.

He then moved into the business sector, where he served as the CEO of Inspro Insurance before retiring in 2025. His other professional involvements include serving on the RVR Bank board of directors, and being involved with both Independent Insurance Agents and Professional Insurance Agents.

Eikmeier served on the Midland Board of Directors for two terms and was president for three years. He has also been a member of the Midland Booster Club board for more than 30 years and was the chairperson for a Midland capital campaign.

Other community involvement includes serving as president of the Fremont Golf Club Board, chairperson of the Bergan Knight Event, board member of the Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce, the Hospital Foundation board, and involved with Boy Scouts of America.

He is proud of his ties to Midland and has maintained a strong relationship with his alma mater for over 40 years.

Midland was a special place during my 4 years here and it has always been near and dear to my heart for many reasons,” he said.  “I was able to obtain a great education and develop lifelong friendships that remain close to me today. It was also where I met Shelly (his wife) some 46 years ago. I am very proud to call Midland my Alma Mater.”

Eikmeier and Shelly, ’83, have a son (Wes), daughter-in-law (Jordan), and granddaughter (Nola).
