Marilyn Swedberg Kuster '48

Marilyn KusterMarilyn Kuster was born March 19, 1927, in Aurora to Oscar and Blanche (Fulton) Swedberg. She joined her husband, Ervin, her son, Kenton, her parents, and her brother, Erle Swedberg, in Heaven on Thursday, October 5, 2017. She was devoted to her family and Christian faith, loved teaching Sunday school, embroidering, gardening, puzzles, and was a fierce competitor at board games and bingo.

Marilyn will be dearly missed by her son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Deborah Kuster; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Erika Kuster and Luke Fast; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Ryan Kuster and Hayley Gotwald; and her sister, Maurine Doenges. She also leaves behind her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 10, at Hickman Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at Lincoln Memorial Park. Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, October 9, with family visitation from 6 to 8 p.m., at Butherus, Maser & Love, 211 E 1st St., Hickman. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hickman Presbyterian Church.
