Marjorie Ann (Herbster) Dale, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska.
Known for her unwavering faith, positive spirit, and strong values, Marjorie was a woman deeply cherished and admired by all who knew her.
Born on December 11, 1930 to Henry F. Herbster and Ella L. (Huettner) Herbster on the family farm near Morrill, Kansas. Marjorie moved with her mother to Falls City, Nebraska after the passing of her father in 1941.
She graduated from Falls City High School and went on to earn her teaching degree from Midland College in Fremont, Nebraska. Marjorie spent her life in service to children and her community. She taught in Fremont, operated preschools in Fairbury and York, and later lived in Omaha and Grand Island.
A faithful volunteer, she gave generously of her time to Maplewood United Methodist Church of Omaha, Methodist Church of Grand Island, the Red Cross, and Grand Island Saint Francis Hospital.
She was previously married to Clifford Dale. Together, they shared 37 years of marriage and raised three children. Marjorie is survived by her children: Cindy (Rob) Bray, Jeff (Leslie) Dale, and Deb (Greg) Severson; her grandchildren: Austin Bray, Mandy (Thomas) Oyler, Jordan (Travis) Gunter, Alexis (Travis Stoltenberg) Jensen, Levi (Taylor) Dale, Kevin Yoshioka, Brett Yoshioka, Justin (Danielle) McElroy, Jacob (Cassie) McElroy, Michaela (Nathan) Stone, Liz (Jim) Mooney, and Sean Severson.
Her great-grandchildren include: Emerson and Camron Oyler; Cruz and Nash Gunter; Blaine, Logan, Landon, and Luke Jensen; Jameson, Roane, and Lincoln Dale; Brooks and Ford McElroy; Ella and Ava McElroy; Knox, Noah, and Jorie Stone; Kali (Zack) Petersen; Greysen Insalaco; Kilian and Alice Mooney; Lily Severson; and Adriane Stoltenberg. Her great-great-grandchild: Knightly Petersen.
Marjorie's life was a testament to love, kindness, and faith. She will be forever missed.
The family will hold a private service and burial in Falls City, Nebraska.
