Midland University's Nursing Program Achieves New Heights
Midland recently announced the opening of its leading-edge Simulation Lab in partnership with Methodist Fremont Health. The lab is housed in a modern wing of the hospital and features five hi-fidelity Guamard Manikins. It’s another example of Midland’s vision to be relentlessly relevant in providing its students with the most dynamic educational experiences in the region.
“The lab complements the traditional clinical experience by allowing our students to experience real-life scenarios," Deborah Brester, MSN, RN, Assistant School of Nursing Professor, says. “We can create scenarios that they may not otherwise ever be exposed to in a clinical setting. This builds a tremendous amount of confidence and enhances critical thinking skills that they’ll use throughout their careers.”
Take a virtual tour of the Simulation Lab or read more from the Omaha World-Herald.
