First lady emeritus, Ruth Lund, has been a longstanding friend of Midland and a devoted supporter since her husband’s Midland presidency in 1968. Vigorous supporters of the college, both Ruth and L. Dale also gave their time and support to the Fremont community. Throughout her husband’s presidency, retirement, and after his death, Ruth has continued to actively volunteer and participate in a number of community, church, and University organizations.
