Sondra Rae Hahle was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in McCook, NE at the age of 90 from complications of dementia.

Sondra was born on January 26, 1936, in Grand Island, NE to parents Ray and Rosa (Hageman) Osborn. She attended school in Grand Island, NE and graduated with the class of 1953. Sondra then graduated from Midland University in Fremont, NE and achieved her nursing degree from Immanual Hospital School of Nursing.

Sondra married William “Bill” Hahle Jr. on December 20, 1959. From this union, they were blessed with three children: Carrie, Brian, and Melanie. Sondra practiced nursing till she and Bill started a family and making a home became her full time job. Sondra and Bill shared 66 loving and adventurous years together. Her last years with Bill as her caregiver were filled with love.

Sondra loved the Lord with her whole heart. She and Bill made several mission trips to Tanzania, Africa to help start fish production for food. She was affectionally called Mama Sumaki or “Mother Fish.” She enjoyed studying the bible and was a member of the Cornerstone Fellowship in McCook. As Sondra’s dementia progressed, worshipping her Lord brought her great joy.

Those left to celebrate Sondra’s legacy are her husband, William “Bill” Hahle Jr. of McCook, NE; children, Carrie (Marty) Cozad of Nebraska City, NE, Brian Hahle of McCook, NE, Melanie (Jeremy) Pruitt of Lakewood, CO; grandchildren, Benjamin (Lori) Cozad, Thomas (Chelsey) Cozad, Patric (Jasmyne Strauss) Cozad, William (Emily) Cozad; great-grandchildren, Lily, Gabby, Dakota, Bella, Zaiden, London, Ellowyn, Jett, Tucker, and Saige; great-great-granddaughter, Mavis; brother-in-law Dennis (Jeannie) Hahle, brothers-in-law Vernon Arp and Malcom Blessing: and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Sondra is preceded in death by her parents, in-laws William and Esther Hahle Sr, sister Deanna Blessing, brother Riley (Cathy) Osborn, sisters-in-law Wilma (Lloyd) Deeds, Lilah (Jim) Smith, Ileen (Bob) Dunnington, Ardyce Arp, brother-in-law Bob Hahle.
