John Blomstedt '81 and his wife Debra (Bohuslavsky) '82 were recently inducted into the Montgomery County Family YMCA's (Red Oak, IA) Heritage Club Endowment Hall of Fame. They were honored for their years of service to the YMCA and their continued volunteering and financial support of YMCA programs. John retired in 2022 after 22 years at the YMCA, the last 4 ¾ years as the executive director. Debra was an early morning lifeguard for 21 plus years and retired from the Red Oak Community School District in 2022 after 35 years (40 overall) of teaching science & math.
