Alice S. Kreizinger, 99, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, at Columbus Community Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus, with the Rev. Joseph A. Miksch officiating. Visitation will be from 3:30-5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17, with a 3 p.m. C.D.A. rosary and a 5 p.m. vigil service at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Monday morning at St. Isidore Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in David City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the wishes of the family.

Alice Sylvia Kreizinger was born Dec. 14, 1919, in Bellwood, to W.J. and Bessie (Rech) Janky. She graduated from David City High School, and received her teaching certificate from Midland College in Fremont. On June 7, 1945, she married L. Robert Kreizinger at Gowen Air Force Chapel in Boise, Idaho. The couple lived in Seward, Dodge and Butler Counties. Alice worked at Safeway and Hinky Dinky and taught rural school. She also was a teacher's aide at St. Isidore Church. Alice and Bob volunteered as Eucharistic Ministers and delivered Meals on Wheels for Columbus Community Hospital. They spent 15 years traveling the United States and Canada in their fifth wheel camper. She was a member of St. Isidore Church, Christian Mothers, Catholic Daughters, Extension Club and V.F.W. Auxiliary. She also did volunteer work at Columbus Community Hospital.

She is survived by daughter, Dorothy (Gerald) Otoupal of Springfield, Missouri; son, Kenneth Kreizinger of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; daughter, Carol Cook of Columbus; daughter, Betsy (Mike) Bonk of Columbus; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents, W.J. and Bessie Janky; husband, L. Robert Kreizinger; seven brothers; and one sister.
