Blake Paris Alumni Spotlight

Athletics were a big part of Blake Paris’s ’16 decision to transfer to Midland University, and athletics have played a big part in Blake's life after Midland.

After attending community college in his native California, Blake made the decision to transfer to Midland and not only finish his degree, but be a part of the Warriors’ bowling squad.

“Midland gave me the opportunity to complete my undergraduate degree, but also help represent their decorated bowling program.”

Blake helped the Warriors to a runner-up finish in the 2015 USBC Intercollegiate Bowling Championships as well as a top five finish in his senior campaign.

After graduating with a Psychology degree from Midland, Blake would eventually work his way back into the athletic realm, first working for the Reno Aces (AAA baseball team) before  joining the Omaha Storm Chasers organization in 2021 as a Corporate Sales Executive. He would eventually land in his current position of Director of Corporate Partnerships, a role he has held for a year.

Blake said his time with professors like Dr. Jamie Simpson and Dr. Connie Taylor in the Luther College of Arts & Sciences prepared him for a future in communicating and working with others. “They were influences in my ability to apply human behavior and psychology into my sales role in the sponsorship space. I really enjoyed the relationships I built from my years attending Midland.”

Now living in Elkhorn, Blake enjoys fitness and continues to be an avid bowler and has more than 20 300 games to his credit.
