Madison Kihm Spotlight

Since her graduation from Midland University in 2022, Madison (Eich) Kihm has worked to ensure other college graduates can enjoy their commencement experience.

Kihm works as an Event Planner in the Marketing and Communications Department at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, where one of her responsibilities is helping coordinate commencement ceremonies for two graduating classes each year. “I have coordinated four successful commencement ceremonies, each with more than 1,000 students, and have worked to hone my skills in event planning and collaboration. My role has allowed me to build strong connections with diverse campus partners, further enhancing my professional network.”

Earning her degree in Business Administration at Midland, Madison has applied the skills she learned into a diverse range of skills, including digital marketing, email campaign management, design, and effective networking. “When planning events, I take on multiple roles including coordinating meetings, collaborating with various campus partners, managing budgets, and overseeing project workflows between my office and the client.”

A chance to continue her dance career and further her education were driving forces behind Madison arriving at Midland, and her fondest memory was being able to forge lifelong friendships. She continues to support Midland as a board member on the GOLD (Graduates of Last Decade) Club, a group that works to engage young alumni through various networking opportunities, both on and off campus.

In her spare time, Madison enjoys photography, spending time at the gym, and reading. Madison and her husband, Noah Kihm ’20, currently live in Omaha.
