Annette D. Lindburg, age 98, of Stromsburg, Nebraska, passed away March 18, 2023 at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Stromsburg with Pastor Keet Redden officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 22 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Dubas Funeral Home in Stromsburg. Pianist will be Roni Branting. Vocalists will be Free Men II quartet, Kurt Moore, Dave Thompson, Max McLean and Kerry Relihan accompanied by Jeanette McLean singing "It Is Well With My Soul", and "No More Night." Congregational hymns will be "What A Friend We Have In Jesus", and "He Lives." Pallbearers will be Matt Lindburg, Chad Lindburg, A.J. Lindburg, Scott Lindburg, Logan Kuehn and Jack Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Anderson, Jay Anderson, Joel Anderson, Jan Anderson, Mike Lindburg and Mark Larson. Interment will be in the Stromsburg Cemetery.
Annette was born August 7, 1924 to Albert and Lena (Johnson) Larson in Stromsburg. She attended country school southeast of Stromsburg and graduated from Stromsburg High School in 1941. She attended Midland College in Fremont for two years. She then began working at the Stromsburg Bank for the next three years.
On March 28, 1948 she was united in marriage to Maurice Lindburg Jr. To this union two children were born. The family lived on the farm east of Stromsburg where Annette was a homemaker.
Annette was in involved in her church and community. She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church where she was church organist and pianist, FCWM, FCWN Division, CWC, Deaconess, and sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Woman's Club, CIP and Library Board. She enjoyed music, her community, traveling and spending time with her family.
Survivors include son Murray (Muriel) Lindburg of Stromsburg and Connie Kuehn of Stromsburg; grandchildren: Matt (Deb) Lindburg, Chad Lindburg, A.J. (Angie) Lindburg, Lena (Justin) Vitale, Michelle Kuehn and Logan Kuehn; six great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Lena Larson; and brother Albertus Larson.
