Augusta Stenholm - Luther College '1886 | Woman of Midland
Known as Luther’s most illustrious alumna, Stenholm graduated in Luther’s first class in 1886 and was immediately engaged as a faculty member. The following year she was named “Lady Principal” and continued teaching at Luther for the next 25 years. After retiring she lived near the campus and continued to tutor Luther students. After her death in 1957 Luther College recognized her and her husband for their years of “faithful Christian service” to Luther College.
