Hankey/Schroeder Endowed Scholarship

Established by Rev. and Mrs. Dan Schroeder to honor their parents, Professor Ralph L. and Eva Hankey and Dr. Martin A. W. and Florence Schroeder. Professor Hankey served the Midland Faculty as Professor of Foreign Languages for 34 years from 1929 to 1963. Dr. Schroeder graduated from Midland at Atchinson in 1916, and received an Honorary Doctorate from Mildand in 1937. First Preference is for International Students who have spent at least one year at Midland who possess academic ability and financial need. Second Preference is for sophomore, junior or senior students with academic ability and financial need whose plans are to go into the ministry, another church vocation or an area of human services.
