Irene M. Nordahl, 100 of Fremont, Nebraska formerly Malmo, NE passed away Thursday December 14, 2023 at Providence Place in Fremont. She was born May 1, 1923 in Weston, NE to Edward and Emma (Jelinek) Krcmarik.

Irene grew up in Weston and later lived and graduated from Fremont High School and attended Midland Lutheran College.

She married Kenneth Nordahl December 28, 1943 in Wahoo. He preceded her in death on December 20, 2008. She did secretarial work and farmed with her husband near Malmo. She also worked at the Mead Ordinance Plant during slow times at the farm.

She was a former member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynda (Brian) Pemberton of Fremont; 2 grandchildren, Deanna (John) Sanders and Cory (Kim) Pemberton and 4 great-grandchildren, Justin, Taylor, Kylie and Zach.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; daughter, Patricia Cejka; and grandchildren, Larry Dean Cejka and Becky Sue Cejka.

Funeral will be 10:30 AM, Thursday December 28, 2023 at Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont; Chaplain Ulette Song will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at Moser's.
