Midland University Unveils Eikmeier Commons

Midland University unveiled the Eikmeier Commons, a newly renovated space on the first floor of the Olson Student Center, as part of a $1.5 million investment to the Midland dining and common spaces. Eikmeier Commons is named for Randy and Shelly Eikmeier (‘82 & ‘83), whose generous donation created a "kitchen table" for the campus.

Midland University - Fremont Health Simulation Lab Opens

Midland University, in partnership with Fremont Health, recently announced the opening of a $1 million simulation lab. The state-of-the-art simulation lab brings an aspect of Midland's medical education to life through real-world, simulated learning in patient rooms and it expands hands-on clinical experiences. This project was made possible in part through a generous matching donation provided by the Rupert Dunklau Foundation.

Men's Lacrosse Announced as Midland's 32nd Varsity Sport

Midland has announced the addition of Men's Lacrosse to their athletic department, marking the university's 32nd varsity program which continues their commitment to invest in the student experience.

"Midland strives to be a leader in creating opportunities for students to pursue their passions and engage in learning experiences that go beyond the classroom. Men's lacrosse is a growing sport, and we are excited to offer this opportunity to our students while earning their degree," stated Jody Horner, Midland University President.

Midland Students Chosen to Attend UTC 2018

This summer, as part of The Ultimate Training Camp (UTC), Midland students Amber Pribyl, Tyler Craven and Shelby Bretschneider participated in a high-intensity sports camp created by Athletes in Action. The training camp is rooted in Biblical principles which focus on the synthesis of faith and sport in every aspect of the competitive athletic experience.

Alumni Spotlight: Mike Fisher '90 Making Magic Every Day

A magician always has plenty of tricks up his sleeve. But Mike Fisher says there are no tricks when it comes to being a good magician. For more than 30 years, Fisher, a 1990 Midland graduate and Fremont native, has exhibited the passion and desire it takes to be a good magician. His craft has taken him to all parts of the United States and has helped him put together thousands of performances during that span.
