Laura proudly serves as the Vice President for Institutional Advancement for Midland University, which she began in September 2021. A firm believer in education with a fundraising background, Laura has served in various higher education roles since 2013. She is passionate about working with the Advancement Team to connect alumni and friends to Midland University in a purposeful way to help advance and grow the institution, impacting the lives of students for years to come. Prior to joining the Warrior Family, she served as the Director of Major Gifts for the Wayne State Foundation in Wayne, Neb., since May 2020. She also served as the Director of Alumni Relations for the Wayne State Foundation from 2016 to 2020.

Laura is a Nebraska native, growing up on a cattle ranch and attending a small school in Chambers, Neb. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication from Wayne State College. She also has a background in graphic design and marketing, having operated a photography business from 2013 to 2020. Laura is also passionate about community involvement and has served in leadership roles with Wayne Area Economic Development, Wayne Young Professionals, and Wayne Kiwanis Club. She is looking forward to connecting with the Fremont and surrounding communities. 

In her free time, Laura enjoys traveling and attending a variety of events, running and being outdoors, and spending time with family, including her husband, Ryan, and their two dogs, Bandit and Zeus. She is honored to call herself a member of the Warrior Family!
