Midland University is proud to recognize three individuals who, between them, have given more than 100 years of service to Midland University and its students.
Dr. Janet Lack and Doug...
Madyson Ray will graduate in 2024 with a Psychology, Sociology, and Biology degree and fully embodies what it means to be a student at Midland. She is heavily involved in campus life both academically, athletically, and spiritually. Her list of involvement is long and vast - from Cardinal Key to the Track and Field team, to the DRIVE Committee, to Fellowship of Christian Athletes and more. Most notably are the amount of leadership positions held by Ray. She is destined for great things after graduation. She has found incredible success in the Admissions department serving as an Admissions Ambassador and the Admissions Office Assistant. Michaela Shepard, Director of Admissions said “Madyson is a student that I trust as intensely as a pro-staff member because she shows up to every task with boldness, integrity, and passion. I can confidently say that she has had a strong influence on the continued enrollment growth and improved retention we've experienced as an institution. She is the type of student that we should highly prioritize continued investment in through career opportunities, scholarships, and more. As we keep our mission statement of 'inspiring people to learn and lead in the world with purpose' at the forefront of all we do, Madyson is a bright example of seeing this mission come to fruition.”
The impact that scholarships have had on Madyson fuel her to be the best she can be. “Scholarships mean so much more to me than money. It shows me that I’m seen and viewed as having potential for the future. People want to invest in me and that gives me motivation to work hard and become the best leader I can be. For future Midland students, scholarships give them the same opportunities I’m able to have and these opportunities have given me the skills necessary to graduate with confidence that I will be successful in the future. Future students can be assured that people are investing in them so they can go out into the world after graduation and learn and lead in the world with purpose.”
