Midland to Host 140-year Celebration Concert Gala
A night of music and celebration is planned as Midland University will be hosting its 140-Year Celebration Concert Gala on May 23 at the Wikert Event Center with HCIS serving as the Headliner Sponsor.
The evening will feature music from the Nebraska All-Star Rock & Roll Band along with food, drinks, live dessert auction, historic displays, silent auction, and more as Midland works to reach its goal of raising $140,000 for student scholarships.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Midland’s rich 140-year history,” said Midland President Jody Horner. “This event will be a chance for alumni, community members, and friends of Midland to appreciate and celebrate everything our university has stood for over these many years.”
Doors open at 5 p.m. There will be a VIP reception from 5-6:15 p.m. with drink tasting provided by La Hacienda. VIP tickets are available as an add-on purchase, and also come with Headliner and Rockstar Sponsorship levels.
The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the band will perform three different sets until 10 p.m. A live dessert auction is planned for 7:30 p.m. with the silent auction closing at 9 p.m.
“We are so proud to be a part of this amazing event to honor Midland University and its 140th celebration,” said Steve Narans, founder and lead singer of the Nebraska All-Star Rock & Roll Band. “We have performed in front of many audiences over the years, but nothing like this. We hope everyone in Fremont and the surrounding area attends.”
Individual tickets are $100 per person, which includes one open table seat, concert, food, and cash bar. VIP package add-ons are an additional $100 and include a wristband for open bar and VIP reception in the suites prior to the concert (ages 21 or older only).
Table sponsorships are available, ranging from $1,000 to $10,000. Visit the tickets and sponsorship packages page to purchase tickets and sponsorships.
“We are excited to be able to celebrate 140 years of Midland University with the community,” said Laura Jensen, Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Midland. “It will be a night filled with fun and memories, and a great opportunity to be able to assist the next generation of Midland University students through scholarships.”
Attendees are encouraged to wear orange and blue, whether it’s casual or dressy. For more information, visit midlandu.edu/140-concert.
