Miller Hall Groundbreaking Celebration
Miller Hall Groundbreaking Celebration
On April 2, 2019, Midland University broke ground on the construction of Miller Hall, which manifests our bold vision of relentless relevance and begins a new chapter of our rich institutional history.
“We honor our past today, but at the same time we look boldly to our future and our vision to be relentlessly relevant,” said Jody Horner, Midland University President. “This state-of-the-art building really designed to not only enhance the quality of life for our students, but the building itself was designed to encourage social engagement and the building of connections and the furthering of relationships among our students and that is highly correlated to academic success. This is much more than just a building.”
Miller Hall will be named after James W. Miller and Donna (Johanson) Miller whose generous estate gift laid the foundation for replacing Men’s Memorial Hall. The new structure will provide 98 beds and will take shape in the same footprint as the existing hall, with completion expected by fall of 2020.
