Miriam Morgan Schneider of Evanston, Ill., died at the age of 86 on Tuesday, Aug. 29, at the Presbyterian Homes in Evanston. She was predeceased in 2015 by Yohma Gray, her spouse. Miriam was born in 1931 to the late William and Ora Morgan of Dakota City.
Raised in Nebraska, Miriam graduated from South Sioux City High School, Midland University, and the University of Nebraska Law School. She had a long career at Chicago Title Company where she served as Vice President for many years. She was a long-term animal rescue activist in Evanston.
Miriam is survived by two sisters: Maurine Johnson of Lincoln, Neb., and Kay Shelly of South Sioux City; and three nieces and nephews.
