The Midland University Speaker Series is designed to provide the Midland and Fremont community with thoughtful and meaningful discussions on important diversity, equity, privilege and inclusion topics to promote thinking and personal & institutional application.
Chatters-Smith, formerly an assistant professor in Penn State’s Department of Educational Psychology, Counseling and Special Education and the coordinator of Clinical Mental Health Counseling in Schools and Communities at the university, is responsible for overseeing the district’s ongoing efforts to meet the goals of its School Climate/Inclusive Excellence Policy. She holds a Master’s Degree in Counselor Education and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Florida.
