It’s a balmy day in Vallejo in July but it’s not a day off for the football coaching staff at ELITE Public Charter.

Head coach Earl Joseph and assistant coaches Corey Meshack and Brandon Cohen are working with players on technique in back of the school on Whitney Avenue. All three coaches were born and raised in Vallejo.

The season opener is about a month and a half away as the Eagles will open their inaugural campaign on Aug. 27 at Twelve Bridges High in Lincoln. The program will feature just junior varsity and freshman competition this fall with varsity slated for 2022.
