Karen Ann Hunter, 80, of Lincoln passed away on August 20, 2021. Born February 19, 1941 to Virgil and Violet (Danielson) Freeman in Wahoo, NE. Karen chose a career in Mary Kay Cosmetics in order to enable her to be available for her children and husband. She was a successful Mary Kay Senior Director and was part of the Mary Kay family for 47 years. She was an active member of the Christian Women's Connection. In her free time, she enjoyed playing Bridge, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She loved creating lasting memories with those whom she cherished the most in the world.
Family members include her husband, David; son Mark Hunter; daughter Deb (Mark) McClean; grandson Elijah McClean; brother Charlie (Carol) Freeman; sister-in-law Nancy Parsons; and numerous nieces & nephews. Karen is preceded in death by her parents and sisters Dorothy Mae (Clarence) Rodine and Phyllis (Lloyd) Anderson.
A memorial service will be held Friday, August 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 'O' Street, with a reception to follow. Private Interment at Sunrise Cemetery in Wahoo, Nebraska. No visitation. Memorial contributions may be directed towards the Friendship Home or People's City Mission.
