Joan Roberts L'57
Joan Roberts, a retired teacher, Air Force veteran, loving mother, and aunt, passed away at her home on March 6, 2021, after a period of failing health.
Joan was an intelligent, sensitive, thoughtful, and caring individual who went out of her way to remember people on holidays and birthdays with handmade gifts and cards of appreciation.

Joan loved cats, fluffy live ones as well as stuffed ones, cat jewelry, cat statuary, cat blankets, cat clothes, et al. She also loved to play duplicate bridge, to socialize generally, and to see and hear anything and everything about the Golden State Warriors. In 2017, Joan fulfilled a long-time dream when she saw the Warriors play at Oracle.
Joan was predeceased by her son, Scott, her parents, and her two brothers. She is survived by her twin sister, Janet Hedlund (Arnold), her nephew Keith Hedlund and his 2 children, Ruby and Jeremy, and her loving caregivers Gloria Lopez and Steven Satterfield, also Joan's nephew.
