Rebecca Flora of Colorado Springs, CO met her Heavenly Father and Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ face to face on April 19, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held at First Lutheran Church at 1515 N. Cascade Ave Colorado Springs, Friday June 10 at 1:00 pm with a reception to follow.
She was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and as a child of an Army officer, she lived in Germany, Texas, and Kansas before arriving in Colorado Springs, CO. Rebecca graduated from Palmer High School where she had participated in the International Baccalaureate program, and after receiving a scholarship in Drama, completed a Bachelor's Degree in Art at Midland College in Fremont Nebraska. In her youth, Rebecca received several school awards in various fields and she sold more Girl Scout cookies than anyone else earning trips to Girl Scout camps. She was baptized at at First Lutheran Church and participated in confirmation, bell groups, the choir, and church camp.
After college graduation, Rebecca moved back to Colorado where she worked in multiple positions to include comptroller and payroll coordinator in the healthcare field, administrative/accounting assistant for over 10 years at Terra Verde, a boutique locally, and adjunct professor for Pikes Peak Community College.
Rebecca loved animals, traveling, music, acting, singing, the Celtic Festival, Sci-Fi, playing bells, and so much more. She will be missed by all.
Rebecca is survived by her father, Russell Flora and step-mother, Donna Lovelace-Flora, both from Ormond Beach, FL, her brother Jeffrey Flora, from Hutchinson, KS, her Aunt Nita Mathews, from Colorado Springs, Aunt Miriam Plautz from Walnut Creek, CA, and Uncle Charles Flora from San Jose, CA. She is pre-deceased by her mother Jennifer Flora.
