Patricia Kay Reandeau, 84, died on Wednesday, April 5 in Tucson AZ. Pat was born on February 19, 1939 in Fremont, NE, the daughter of Harry and Erma (Mead) Schulz. Pat attended high school in Hooper, Nebraska where she met the love of her life, Walter Reandeau and were married in May 1959. Together they raised three children, Julie Schneider (Dave), Scott (Mary Ann Uecker) and Jacqueline. Pat and Walt both graduated from Midland Lutheran College and later earned Master's degrees in Library Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She had a life-long passion for learning and for teaching others, spending many years teaching and managing school libraries. She continued to enjoy learning even after retirement and took multiple trips with Road Scholar including a helicopter ride to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and then rafting the Colorado. Pat and Walt loved to move and travel. In their over fifty years of marriage, they lived in California, Nebraska, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Arkansas, Arizona and one year in Malawi Africa when they served in the Peace Corps. Pat enjoyed playing cards and was an exceptional bridge player. While enjoying a good Husker game or other sporting event with Walt, she would make beautiful needlework pieces and quilts. Pat will be sorely missed by her family and friends and remembered for her joy of games, teaching others and independent spirit. A celebration of Pat's life is being planned for May 27, 2023, 11:00-3:00 at The Office in Hooper, NE. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Pat's name to your favorite charity.
