Danny Edward Aman, age 83, passed away in Slidell, Louisiana, on October 8, 2024, following a short illness. Born on July 4, 1941, in Shenandoah, Iowa, he was the son of Edward Elliot Aman and Delores Lucille Churchill. Dan graduated from Fremont High School in Fremont, Nebraska, in 1959 after which he enlisted and served honorably in the United States Navy. He then returned to Fremont where he married Marianne Brandert in 1962. In 1970, upon earning a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in business from Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, Dan became a revenue agent and conferee for the IRS, retiring after 30 years of government service.
During his retirement years, Dan enjoyed golf, bowling, target practice, serving as a hunter education instructor, and riding his motorcycle.
Dan was preceded in death by his father and mother; stepfather, Albert Barton; brother, Jack Aman; and half-sister, Deborah Barton Matulka. He is survived by his wife, Marianne; son, Daniel A. Aman (Melissa) of Magnolia, Texas; and grandson, Daniel W. Aman.
A memorial service will be held at the Ridge Memorial Baptist Church in Slidell on Monday, October 14, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Memories and condolences may be expressed at www.AudubonFuneralHome.com.
