Lillian JurgensLillian Mae Jurgens, 100, of Fremont, died surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Nye Square.

She was born on August 13, 1925, at Richmond Hospital in Fremont, and grew up on her family farm near Wahoo. She attended District 70 and graduated from Wahoo High School in 1943.

Lillian entered nurses training at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha in 1943 where she was also part of the Army Nurse Cadet Program. Upon graduation in 1946 she began her career as a registered nurse at Dodge County Hospital in Fremont.

She married Tillman A. Jurgens of Cedar Bluffs on November 15, 1946, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wahoo. Lill and Till (as they were known) were married almost 66 years until Till passed away in 2012.

She was preceded in death by husband, Tillman; parents, Emfred and Ruth Swanson; and brother, Donald Swanson.

Survivors include daughter, Jetty Rabeler (Russell) of Fremont; son, Kurt Jurgens (Mary) of Omaha; and grandchildren, Renee Schneringer of Fremont, Brandon Rabeler of Dallas, Texas, Rochelle Griffiths (Duncan) of Golden, Colo., Jennifer Hottovy (Toby) of Elkhorn and Kathryn Davis of Elkhorn; and ten great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 10th, at the Trinity Lutheran Church Chapel in Fremont.

Private graveside services will be held at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Memorials to Lighthouse Ministries in Fremont or to the charity of your choice.
