Building a career, meeting her future husband, and securing lifelong friendships are just a few of the lasting impressions Midland University made on Anna Anderson (Perry).

“My best friends are my Midland friends, my spouse (husband Scott) is my Midland spouse, and my career is my Midland career. I am so thankful for my time at Midland.”

The smaller class sizes were an enticement for Anna and once she made her visit, there was no looking back. Along with meeting her husband, Anna recalls pledging for Tri Phi sorority, education classes with Dr. Weaver, her roommates (Becky and Danielle) and being part of the Cheer & Dance squad as some of her best memories at Midland.

After graduating, Anna returned to her hometown of Holdrege, Nebraska, and spent 15 years as a middle school math teacher before transitioning to science teacher eight years ago. She has served as a track and field and volleyball coach as well as serving as a cheerleader sponsor and helping direct high school musicals. She earned her Masters in math through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

She and Scott have three adult sons, two of which have careers in education. She and Scott love spending time with their three grandchildren, as well as coaching and reading.
