Elois P. Pittman '71
Elois P. Pittman, 99 years, of Arlington, passed away Friday, Dec. 29, 2017 at Nye Legacy in Fremont. Elois was born Dec. 24, 1918 on a farm near Neligh, Nebraska to Robert and Jeanette (Moore) McFetters. The family moved to Fremont in 1924. She was a 1935 graduate of Fremont High, and later Midland College.
In 1942, she married Edward D. Thomsen and after his death in 1972, she married Roy “Wayne” Pittman 1978. Wayne passed away in 1992.
She is survived by daughters, Miriam Landberg of Temecula, California and Natalie (Gene) Wachholtz of Kansas City, Missouri; sons, Jay (Linda) Thomsen of Arlington, and Jim (Debbie) Thomsen of Torrington, Wyoming; daughter-in-law, Brenda (Thomsen) Roerty of Mineral, Virginia; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents; husbands, Edward and Wayne; son, Stuart Thomsen; brother, Robert McFetters; grandson, James Thomsen; step-daughter, Carol Boise; son-in-law, Gary Landberg.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 5, 2018 at Arlington Community Church in Arlington. The Rev. David Paul will officiate. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018 at Reckmeyer Moser Funeral Home in Arlington, with a Order of Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Arlington City Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Arlington Community Church, the Arlington Library, or the Arlington Legion Auxiliary.
