Jeannette Marie (Voboril) Jambor

Jeannette JamborJeannette Marie (Voboril) Jambor, of Lincoln, NE, died on March 24, 2018, in Lincoln. Formerly of rural Prague and a long-time member of St. Cyril and Methodius parish (Plasi). Jeannette was born on February 16, 1926 to Marion (Zizka) and James J. Voboril in Prague, NE. Jeannette attended St. John's Catholic School and Prague Public High School. She worked in the Mead ordinance plant in the summer of 1945. She received teacher training at Midland College in Fremont, and taught K-8th grade schools in one-room school houses for three years. Jeannette married Ernest Jambor on December 30, 1946. They lived and worked together on a dairy farm near Prague until they retired. Jeannette was an organist for 25 years for the Plasi church. In 2003, they moved to Lincoln to be closer to family. Survived by her children and their spouses: Trudy and Richard Stodola, Omaha; Phyllis and Ernie Haag, Maplewood, MN; Nancy Staley, Lincoln; Steve and Sonia Jambor, Lincoln; and Jim and Anita Jambor, Agnew; 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, John (Jack) Voboril of Upland, CA. Preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; brother and wife, James R. and Lavina Voboril; sisters and husbands, June and Charles Egr, and Joyce and John Polacek; grandson, Daniel J. Stodola; son-in-law, D. Joel Staley. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Tuesday, April 3, 2018, 10am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 122 W. Center Ave., Prague, NE. VISITATION: Monday, April 2, 2018, 5-7pm, with 7pm Rosary, all at Church. Interment at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery, Plasi, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Sts.
