Bernice A. Fahlberg, 94, of Lincoln, died on December 10, 2018. Bernice Halmes Thompson Fahlberg was born in Plattsmouth, at their farm home on June 16, 1924. She graduated from Midland College with a teaching degree. She taught at Omaha South High School for many years.
Bernice married Kenneth Chapline Thompson, having four children, George, Brian, Kent, and Lori. Five years after Kenneth's passing she married Robert Fahlberg. She was blessed with three additional children - Nancy, Mark, and Curtis. They all relocated to Lincoln. Bernice enjoyed raising all seven children as one family.
Bernice continuously prayed for each person she met, she was a faithful prayer warrior. Her conversations ended with “God loves you and I love you with a Godly love”
She dearly loved and is survived by her children, George (Ann) Thompson, Nancy (Barry) Brestel, Kent (Sara) Thompson, Mark (Kelly) Fahlberg, Lori (Steve) Sloup, Curtis (Patti) Fahlberg; daughter-in-law, Amy Gordon; 20 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, all members of her prayer groups, and her church. She was preceded in death by her husbands; son Brian; granddaughter Julia.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, December 14, at Radiant Church, 740 N. 70th, Lincoln, NE 68505. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Plattsmouth. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church.In lieu of flowers please send donations to Living Word Church, PO Box 22231, Lincoln, NE 68542.
