Pat Trautrimas was a fixture at Midland for five decades. Although she officially retired in 2011, Trautrimas continued to teach classes on campus in the English department until 2020. Respected for her ability to help students think critically about the world around them, she is a firm believer that learning occurs when one opens their mind to new things. Using travel as a catalyst for knowledge, Trautrimas arranged and led dozens of trips abroad for Midland students, alumni, and Fremont residents.
