Paula Moerer '83

Paula Rae Moerer, 59, of Nebraska City, Nebraska formerly of Humboldt, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in Lincoln, Nebraska.  She was born on July 18, 1961 to Vanes and Joyce (Davison) Moerer in Pawnee City, Nebraska.

Paula lived on the family farm west of Humboldt and graduated from Humboldt High School.  She received her teaching degree from Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, Nebraska.

Paula was an English teacher in Campbell, Nebraska and Osceola, Nebraska. Paula was also a Lutheran Youth Director, a Tentmaker employer and a Red Cross worker in Mankato, Minnesota. She also worked at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Nebraska City.

Paula enjoyed woodworking, quilting and playing games with her family.

She was preceded by her dad, Vanes Moerer, infant brother, Neal Moerer and grandparents John and Marie Moerer and Floyd and Freda Davison.

Paula is survived by her mother Joyce Moerer, sister Carol (Chad) Herr, brother, Mark (Denise) Moerer, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives.

A Celebration of Paula's Life will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Faith Lutheran Church in Humboldt, Nebraska.

Memorials may go to the Southeast Nebraska Cancer Garden in Humboldt, Nebraska. 

Inurnment will be at a later date in the Humboldt Cemetery, Humboldt, Nebraska.
