Phillip Christensen '75
Phillip Carl Christensen was born in Fremont, Nebraska, to Sheldon and Dorothy Christensen. He graduated from Fremont High School in 1971 and continued his education at Midland Lutheran College. He subsequently obtained a law degree from Duke University and an accounting degree from Creighton University. Phil was employed as a Certified Public Accountant for Deloitte and retired as an Assistant Vice President from Union Pacific Railroad in 2018. He enjoyed football, reading, and history, among other interests.
Phil is survived by wife, Roberta; daughters, Kathryn Paige and Lauryn Ainsley; sister, Nytha (Dave) Glass; brother, Ken Christensen (Lisa McCloskey); nieces and nephews, Chris (Heather) Glass, Mindy (Dan) Klein, Chase and Jessica Christensen; extended family and friends. Preceded in death by parents.
Mass of Christian Burial is Tuesday, Aug. 29, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Visitation Monday beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by a Wake Service at 7 p.m. at John A. Gentleman Mortuaries Pacific Street Chapel. Memorials to CUES School System, Midwest Geriatrics, Inc., Duchesne Academy or St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, all in Omaha.
