Sally G. Kozisek
Sally G. Kozisek, 91, of Fremont, Nebraska, passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021, at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont. Sally was born Feb. 22, 1929, at Brainard, Nebraska, to Frank and Julia (Weverka) Kucera. She grew up at Brainard and David City. She graduated from David City High School. Sally married Leonard Kozisek on Nov. 5, 1946, at David City. Leonard preceded her in death on May 20, 1976. After marriage, the couple lived at David City, then Columbus for four years and then moved to Fremont in 1956. Sally worked at Pfiester Hybrids, Midland Lutheran College and then Hammond & Stephens for 20 years. Sally was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic, Catholic Daughters and St. Patrick's women.
Survivors include daughter, Diane Hoschiet (fiancé, Mike Fischer) of Fremont; sons, David (Katie) Kozisek of Chicago, and Douglas (Deb) Kozisek of Council Bluffs, Iowa; sisters, Gladys Hoeft of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Shirley (Mike) Vasina of Columbus, Nebraska; grandchildren, Sarah, Anne, and Grace; great-grandchild, Georgia; special friends and neighbors, Jim and Lanette Redmond of Fremont; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Leonard; parents; sisters, Adeline Cemper, Evelyn Birkel, Darlene Jatczak, and Rosemarie Husak; brother, Ray Kucera and his wife, Dorothy; brothers-in-law, Bill Hoeft and Bill Birkel.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. A Rosary Service will begin at 7 p.m. Graveside service on Thursday, Jan. 21, at 10 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont.
