Summary of Immanuel-Midland Nursing Alumni Executive Board Quarterly Meeting, October 6, 2021

The Immanuel-Midland Nursing Alumni Executive Board met in person for their quarterly meeting October 6, 2021.

Dr. Linda Quinn has accepted the position of Dean of College for Health Professionals at Midland University.  Dr. Quinn will continue in her position with the Midland University School of Nursing  Dr. Quinn shared that increased requirements for nursing students to attend clinical rotations have been implemented.

Gift bags containing individually wrapped food items, note taking material and a note from the Alumni Association were distributed to the nursing students in October.

The practice of the Alumni Association presenting a journal and note to the sophomore class of student nurses will continue at their commitment ceremony scheduled for November 5, 2021.  Due to the 2020 commitment ceremony not being conducted due to Covid-19, the members of the junior class of nursing students have been invited to participate. 

The Gaumard Manikin, carrying bag and decubiti option, for the Midland University nursing lab has been purchased and will soon arrive on campus. 

The Alumni luncheon and annual meeting is scheduled for April 9, 2022 in the Midland University Private Dining Rooms.

The next quarterly meeting scheduled for January, 2022.
