Thelma Moeller '64
Thelma Alelia Moeller was born February 1, 1945, at Sidney, Nebraska to Reverend Victor and Ida (Reuter) Moeller. She graduated from Pender High School and received her bachelor's degree from Midland University. After college, she lived in Pender, later moving to Wayne. She lived there through her retirement until the present time. Thelma was employed with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services for 40 years, first as a case worker and then director. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and WELCA in Wayne. Thelma was a piano and organ accompanist for area nursing home services.
Thelma is survived by her brother, Norman (Joan) Moeller of Pender and sister, Pauline Westerhold of Pender; 12 nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Thelma is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul (Shirley) Moeller; sister, Berniece (Walt) Whipple; brother-in-law, Marvin Westerhold; and a great-niece, Lillian Davis.
She passed away on July 5, 2020 at the home of her sister in Pender.
